• We fabricate each Cf-252 neutron source to our customer's requirements. In most instances, one of our standard source designs or a modification of a standard design is all that is required. Where necessary we create a new design, perform engineering analysis and/or prototype testing, obtain U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission licensing approval, and obtain Special Form Certification for the new design.
• Antimony-beryllium neutron sources and larger Type A shipping packages are designed for a particular customer and order, or are fabricated to the customer's design. Smaller shipping packages are usually standard designs with source holders matched to customer needs.
• Our technology is state-of-the-art or a bit beyond. Our Quality Assurance Program, which complies with the requirements of 10CFR50 Appendix B, is applied to all products. The effectiveness of our use of technology, advanced manufacturing techniques, and Quality Assurance is evident from the results: we have never had a customer rejection or a field failure of any product.

We are located in Xenia, Ohio (fifteen miles east of Dayton) on a seven-acre site. Our building was designed and constructed especially for Cf-252 source manufacture. Our licensed facility includes a remote handling area, a support area (machine shop, health physics, quality control), and a general office area.

Visitors are welcome at Frontier Technology. Inquiries are invited for standard or special sources, development projects and radioactive materials storage/shipping containers (Type A only).
